The short answer is "probably not." There's a whole host of issues,
mostly centered around big-endian/little-endian storage of data. If
you're moving it across the same CPU, you have a better chance of
getting things to work.
It sounds like the systems you mention have different storage
formats, so you'll have to create the database on the same system.
