I answered my own question. I added
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH

to the rundig script and that seemed to fix it.

I am trying to install 3.15. I ran the configure/make/install . Everything seems
fine, but when I try rundig everything dies. I have solaris 2.6, with gcc2952. I had
the same problem with htdig 3.14 and finally got a pre-compiled binary and that worked.

Here is the error I get:
ld.so.1: /opt/www/htdig/bin/htdig: fatal: libstdc++.so.2.10.0: open failed: No such
file or directory
Killed
ld.so.1: /opt/www/htdig/bin/htmerge: fatal: libstdc++.so.2.10.0: open failed: No such
file or directory
Killed
ld.so.1: /opt/www/htdig/bin/htnotify: fatal: libstdc++.so.2.10.0: open failed: No such
file or directory
Killed
ld.so.1: /opt/www/htdig/bin/htfuzzy: fatal: libstdc++.so.2.10.0: open failed: No such
file or directory
Killed
ld.so.1: /opt/www/htdig/bin/htfuzzy: fatal: libstdc++.so.2.10.0: open failed: No such

Killed

Any ideas?
thanks
