This probably means you simply ran out of disk space on whatever
drive it was using for sorting. By default, the rundig script sets
this through the TMPDIR environment variable. So if that drive
doesn't have a bunch of free space, you'll get this message. Simply
change the TMPDIR directory to land on a drive with more free space
and you'll be fine.
