Hi,
First I'll tell all what I am trying to do, I have two option boxes, one
with a list of surgeon types i.e. breast, endocrine and so on.
The second option box contains a list of locations, i.e. london, america and
so on.
What I want is htdig to complete a boolean search of the option selected by
a user, i.e., a user selects Brest in the first option box and then London
in the second option box, I then want htdig to bring back a list of all
documents that contain Breast & London !!
Here is the HTML I currently have on the search page: -
<form method="post" action="/cgi-bin/htsearch">
<input type="hidden" name="config" value="htdig"><input type="hidden"
name="restrict" value><input type="hidden" name="exclude" value><input
type="hidden" name="Boolean" value><font size="-1"><div
align="center"><center><p> </font><strong><font face="Century
Gothic"><br>
<small>Search For:</font> </small></strong><select name="words"
size="1" tabindex="1">
<option selected value="None">None</option>
<option value="Breast">Breast</option>
<option value="Cardiac">Cardiac</option>
<option value="Cosmetic">Cosmetic</option>
<option value="Endocrine">Endocrine</option>
<option value="ENT">ENT</option>
<option value="Gastrointestinal">Gastrointestinal</option>
<option value="General">General</option>
<option value="Gynaecologist">Gynaecologist</option>
<option value="Laparoscopic">Laparoscopic</option>
<option value="Orthopaedic">Orthopaedic</option>
<option value="Plastic">Plastic</option>
<option value="Vascular">Vascular</option>
</select> </p>
</center></div><div align="center"><center><p><font face="Century
Gothic"><strong><small>In
Location:</small></strong> </font><input type="hidden" name="Boolean"
value><select name="Location" size="1">
<option selected value="None">None</option>
<option value="London">London</option>
</select>
</p>
</center></div>
<div align="center"><p><input type="submit" value="Search"
name="Search"><br>
</p>
</div>
</form>
I am not sure if it is using the second option box in the query, is the
above correct or am I doing something wrong here ??
Please HELP.
Thanks,
Simon Hyde.
