According to James Moore:

Yes. Check your spelling. If you misspelled the attribute name in your
htdig.conf as you did above, you're not hitting the right attribute.
Also, if you run htdig -ivv (at least 2 v's), you'll get a better
explanation of why the URLs are being rejected. If that's still not
enough info to go on, add another v. You may also want to take a peek at
the source code, in htdig/Retriever.cc, to see where the error message
is coming from and what it was doing before putting out the message.
That should tell you which attribute needs tweaking, if the message
itself doesn't make it clear enough.
