You should apply the accents algorithm patch to 3.1.5.  It's at

        ftp://sol.ccsf.cc.ca.us/htdig-patches/3.1.5/accents.0

and can be applied from within the main htdig-3.1.5 source directory using
"patch -p1 < /path/to/accents.0".  You'll then have to rerun ./configure,
make and make install.

Then you'll need to run "htfuzzy accents" after every run of htdig and
htmerge (or rundig), to refresh the accented word database.  You'll also
have to add the "accents" algorithm to your search_algorithm definition
in htdig.conf.

The accents algorithm is already included in 3.2.0b2, so if that's the
version you're running, you just need to enable it and make the database.
