Has anyone come up with a more-or-less integrated approach to issue of (Unix) software version control? Overall intent being to retain a record of the PRIOR content of a production library. Preferably, in a form which would support automated restoration to a previous date and time. Appears that Unix DOES have most/all of the individual components (diff, zip/unzip, etc) which would be needed; just a matter of putting them together . .
