Sorry, it seems your question slipped through the cracks.  You don't
mention which version you're running.  I know some of the 3.2 betas have
scoring bugs.  Also, in the 3.1.x series, it does seem to give more weight
to smaller pages, and to pages where the word appears closer to the top.
That may be a contributing factor.
