I try to compile htdig with db-2.4.14. The first error looks like:
c++ -o htfuzzy -ggdb -L../htlib -L../htcommon -L../db-2.4.14/build.unix
-L../rx-1.5/rx -L/usr/lib Endings.o EndingsDB.o Exact.o Fuzzy.o
Metaphone.o Soundex.o SuffixEntry.o Synonym.o htfuzzy.o Substring.o
Prefix.o -lcommon -lht -ldb -lrx
ld: cannot open -lg: No such file or directory
This happens also to htdig, htsearch, htmerge, and htnotify. I remember a
posting to this mailing list a few days ago. The mailarchive for Sep. 98
is empty. Can anyone send me a copy or a short explanation.
