Hi All,

I'm a little baffled with results that htsearch gives back for this query:

   St. Maron

in an AND search vs. an OR search.

Tha AND search returns no hits, whereas the OR search returns several (correct)
hits, but the amazing thing is that the exact phrase exists in many of the
documents that were found with the OR search, so a search for St. and Maron
should have yielded results. The minimum length of a word is set to 3, however
in the OR search, the word 'St.' does appear in bold in the results, indicating
that htsearch did actually search for it. (In fact some documents in the OR
search hit solely because of the 'st.' part). A boolean search for
"st. and maron" does not yield anything. One for "St. or maron" yield the
same as that of the OR search. -- At least it is consistent.

Can anyone please explain?

   thanks,

  edmond
