Hi there,
I originally had the same problem too. The warnings suggested it was
a problem with stuff in db-2.4.14. As it turns out, just for this
part, 'configure' or something else seemed to think that it should use
cc instead of gcc.
I set my CC environment variable to gcc and it compiled without
further problems.
