We use Apache 1.3 with Linux 2.0.35 . The search-engine is htdig. For
some users wie have a closed user-group. We did this with the
apache-module 'mod_auth' with a passwd-file at the server. When we use
'htdig -u webmaster:uschi' for example, it is not possible to scan the
protected pages. We use the AuthType Basic in Apache. With a browser we
are able to connect as id:'webmaster' pw:'uschi'.
