why can i run my cgi's fine, through a browser, while my H:T files print the
html source. i can't figure it out.

i have script alias pointing to /var/www/cgi-bin. if it wasn't the right
spot or didn't work, my normal cgi's wouldn't execute.

i don't have a valid domain for the test box, i am using an ip address and
have specified in httpd.conf ( redhat 7.1 ). i am specifying the ip in the
url i am requesting.

the permissions and ownership are exactly the same for all my files in
cgi-bin ( where cgi's and H:T's reside ).

i also tried putting the actual template file in the html dir, and specified
the exact path in my script ( that's prolly the right way to do it )

and here is the capper. when i open an H:T page using opera on linux ( not
locally ), it open up fine. when i try from the same machine using
netscape, the source comes up. it doesn't execute. both have exact same
proxy settings... i even tried using opera on windows and the source comes
up on it also...???

any ideas. sorry for the off topic post.

matt
