[htmltmpl] Is there a counter inside a loop?

Hello List,

is there a easy way to run a counter inside a loop?

eg.

<tmpl_loop name="demo">

%NAME%

</tmpl_loop>


What i want, is a list like:

1. hannes
2. stefan
3. alex
...

i would get the listing (number count) automaticly .. is ther a
special var for that?
