I just tested the patch on FreeBSD/amd64 9.1-PRERELEASE.
It works just great.
I created a small test utility a while back, try
svn co svn://svn.ximalas.info/sleep-setproctitle if you're interested,
and it was really nice to see htop noticing the change in process
title every two seconds.
