Maybe this has already been requested.. but here goes. I downloaded the htop source package from the debian repository and took a quick look at the code and it appears that I need to patch the code to implement a color scheme that suits my requirements.
Would it be possible at some point in the future to make it possible to change the color scheme via a configuration file, possibly with 256-color support for added flexibility? Naturally, since htop uses the underlying terminal's colors, it's always possible to modify them at execution time.. The problem with this approach is that when you use a terminal multiplexer such as gnu/screen or tmux, applications running in other windows are also affected.
