William,
All of us who hack on HttpClient have day jobs, families, and other
obligations in this life. Most of the HttpClient development happens at
the expense of our free time and it is a very difficult balancing act.
As none of us seems to have a taste for writing documentation, it is one
of the most neglected area of HttpClient. So, one needs to get used to
deriving most of the information about Apache software directly from the
source code itself.
