HttpClient 2.x cant handle certain types of redirect (cross-site,
cross-port redirects to be exact). In other words it can't redirect from
a plain HTTP url to a HTTPS url without some extra help. For details

Consider upgrading to HttpClient 3.0 that does not have this limitation
