Hi, I would like to revisit this subject. To avoid reinventing the wheel, I ended up modifying some of the httpclient code to handle simple url mistakes when redirecting. I was wondering if in the future you would consider providing an interface like HttpMethodRetryHandler for dealing with redirects. If not maybe it could be a function that is turned off by default but can be set with a parameter.
