Roland, To it really does not matter how many people actually cut code. The number of coders does not always translate into code quality. What is important is how many people participate in architecture and design decisions. We have 4 resident Jakarta PMCs with several years of Apache experience overseeing the project (some of whom have been with the project 5+ years). I think we are all right. I see no need to attract some casual votes by going to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The project is the victim of HttpClient 3.x success. Despite all its horrid architectural shortcomings HttpClient 3.x turned out to be a pretty decent and stable piece of software. I am sure we'll see more people taking interest in HttpComponents once HttpClient 4.0 starts taking shape. If do not end up breaking my neck snowboarding some day I have no plans reducing my involvement in HttpComponents. I am determined to see HttpClient 4.0 FINAL released, at which point I will consider drastically reducing my commitments to the project.
