Folks It looks like we have enough people on PMC for a reasonable TLP:
http://wiki.apache.org/jakarta/TLPHttpComponents The only person who expressed interest in being on PMC but who has not not added himself is Dion. We can always vote him in at a later point of time. So, the only remaining stumbling block is who takes on the role of PMC Chair. I tried to get in touch with Jeff "Jandalf" and sent a message to his apache account but did not get a response. Quite likely he has retired not only from HttpClient development but from all his Apache involvements. As Roland expressed readiness to take on the role of PMC Chair in case Jeff declined, I would like to nominate Roland to the HttpComponents PMC Chair. I am not sure if that requires a formal vote, so if I hear no objections, I'll just go ahead and put Roland's name on the proposal.
