It appears I have hugin 2011.4.0+dfsg-1. I reinstalled from the Ubuntu Software Center on 2014-03-25.

I have used Hugin intermittently, the last time I can find for sure was in August 2012. Hugin used to work but after some system update (I don't know which) it crashes after the splash screen comes up. I uninstalled Hugin and reinstalled. It still crashes. Otherwise the system patches are up to date.
