The backtrace show that the crash happens in some X window function. This is an indication that Hugin runs on Wayland. Try setting GDK_BACKEND to x11 explicitly before running Hugin: GDK_BACKEND=x11 hugin If this works, then your hugin is not compiled with the needed Wayland patch.
