Ok. Thanks for your help. I’ll have a look at building but it’s been 20 years of neurons lost since I last looked at code and builds etc and even that was pretty limited so no guarantees.

I'm on a 16" macbook pro running catalina 10.15.3. Hugin is the latest version for mac. The hugin binary is: 2019.2.0.b690aa0334b5. Basically the preview screen does not fit the image nor center it. Every change the screen redraws itself but not in a cogent manner. Going to either scroll bar redraws it but moving away from the scrollbar and into the screen itself corrupts the image again.
