Guido,

I did update the documentation per your request. You should see a
clean separation wherever possible about the x32 v x64 differences using
parallel tables. Short of breaking it into it's own page, I'm not sure what
ideas you're thinking layout. Breaking it into its own page seems a bit
overkill, since the steps are around 90% identical. The only separation of
the pages was the MSVC 2008 Patches page, which is now handled by a set of
diffs against the source distributions (that are linked to on the main page,
and directed to as steps for each project). The original directions for the
x32 versions of the diff are still provided (on that second page), but the
encouragement is just to apply the diff/patch.

The benefit of the diff-based approach is that it saves considerable
amount of time, especially with x64, in converting the solution to VS 2008,
updating paths/build targets/etc, and creating x64 versions. Visual Studio
2008 suffers a "design issue" in that if you clone a Win32 platform
configuration to x64, it will mangle several paths (output, intermediate,
etc), so by supplying the diffs, my aim was to save people what took several
hours of correcting by hand (again, due to IDE issues). It benefits the x32
users in that all of the work is now "done for them".
