No, there is no feature matcher already in hugin (only the already
mentioned gsoc project from 2008).

Integrating means, that the feature matcher (and also the feature
descriptor) should be in hugin repository (beside the "other" hugin
code). So it can be build with hugin and also make use some of hugin
features. But it should be a separate application, which can be called
by the gui with the help of the control point detector settings.
