Hi all, after the excellent ongoing experience with the Hugin tracker, the Enblend admins have unanimously decided to follow. This will happen tonight and the new tracker should be available Monday - same as Hugin a few weeks ago.
Because of the much smaller footprint of the Enblend tracker and the overlapping tracker user base, a public consultation has been foregone. We expect synergy with the Hugin tracker (tickets can be moved between the projects instead of turning users away by declaring their tickets invalid and asking them to file new tickets in the other project's tracker). The Enblend tracker had not seen any activity for months, and I did an export on Friday and did not close the old tracker. Murphy's law strike: a flurry of recent activity. Please hold off with tickets / comments on Enblend for the next 24 hours and wait for the announcement of the new tracker. I will do the export again tonight. The export is intensive on the SourceForge infrastructure. Please hold off with filing Enblend tickets for the next 24 hours and wait for the announcement of the new tracker. Tickets and comments filed after Monday 5:00 UTC are likely to get lost. Members of Hugin-Devs may activate and announce the new tracker on LP earlier at http://bugs.launchpad.net/enblend - I have limited availability on Monday and will do it when I get back if it was not done yet. The Panotools project also discussed moving their tracker too, and while all admins have expressed themselves in favor of the move, a technicality (or a lack in communication?) is delaying that move. If the Panotools export is done before Monday 5:00 UTC tonight, it may go through in this run as well. If not it will have to wait for those with access rights to do it. With these moves the big infrastructure overhaul is likely over. And infrastructure is no longer the bottleneck to project grow. Yuv
