When I first used 2011.0.0 I used just 5 small pictures and encountered the same problem, however, I managed to bypass the problem by quickly, just after the fast pre-view opened, slowly expand the pre- view window and suddenly I managed to see and manipulate my pano. I then stitched a bigger pano with 36 pictures in the initial align, but now it didn't matter how I rezised the window, it still got stuck. I changed the preferences to "do nothing" but I still couldn't open the fast pre-view without getting a hanged window with max CPU load.
