I got confirmation from Matthew that he used a new SDK to build RC2. It is likely that a number of the newly observed bugs are a consequence of the new SDK. He will get back to Windows users with more information and a strategy moving forward with both Hugin itself and the new SDK. The old SDK had come in age and needed badly an update.
