The main usefulness of this Hugin Calibrate Lens tool is to generate
lens correction parameters for the lensfun database. Lensfun is
used as the distortion correction backend for darktable, Rawstudio,
digiKam and UFRaw.
A nice enhancement would be if Hugin Calibrate Lens could directly
save calibration data in the lensfun XML format (as well as the
Hugin .INI format). Ultimately Hugin should actually use lensfun,
so that when you add photos the lens parameters get pre-filled
automatically.
