Hi

For some experiments on 3d (parallax-aware) image alignment, I have it in
mind to build variations on PTOptimizer and some of the libpano functions
that it calls. Can anyone recommend a good code base to start from?
Despite having contributed to libpano13 in the past, I'm far from clear on
the current situation with respect to versions of libpano and the command
line tools.

This effort might someday lead to better support in Hugin for multiple
points of view -- things like array cameras, hand-held image sets, and
mosaics -- but I don't want to try to implement anything at that level now,
just collect control points with cpfind and see if it is feasible to align
them in a parallax-aware manner.
