Thank you for the src.rpm.

It makes it about 30 some percent, then crashes the putty window.....it 
goes to fast for me to see any errors.

Could it be boost? It is only 1.41...I can't think of anything else I'm 
missing.

I have found it difficult to update boost...please remember I have only 
been using linux for about a week (sorry, I'm used to clicking run, ok, ok, 
ok, done!)

Any suggestions?

Should I just build from source and install the gui anyway? It will build 
2010.4 (nothing later)
