Did you succeed? I'm maintaining the nightly hugin builds over at https://launchpad.net/~hugin/+archive/ubuntu/nightly and, given the fact that I do not own a private, still supported windows license any more, compiling hugin under windows seems to be a major PITA and the request for up to date windows versions is eminent, I may be interested to bolt on a mingw variant to the Ubuntu packages I already do. I have no idea how to support this windows variant, though.
