You slipped up Aux.
Zaday (interesting poster-I've been reading him)  on your link says
clearly that the cold he has affects his Hum sensitivity- in the
negative direction.
Something I'm OK with -as it is realistic to assess sinus and ear
conditions together as they are closely interconnected.
If Hum is also off, in either or both our areas,   -then so be it!
