@Geoff :How many people do you imagine hear The Hum ? I wouldn't like to imagine a figure tbh. I've seen figures that suggest 100,000 world wide , but that is unattributable. Sure they're a minority, but if the issue is at all related to external causes then they are the ONLY ones going to shout about it. A bit like swing voters at election time- where the politicos like to severely concentrate their efforts ,for a 'good' result ,on just a few savvy percent. Likewise, people who are somehow fated to hear 'something they shouldn't' are likely to also draw undue(negative) attention. I have, in contact with the public, found quite a few (older) people who quite readily admit to hearing it locally. Of those I've raised the issue with- about 50% surprisingly- on a low sample admittedly. Suck on that Geoff!
