I've not been keeping notes on this- but roughly speaking there are times when Aux and I have disparity in Hum activity.at 80 miles seperation Other times there seems to be a block period when it is generally there for both of us like as of now,. but not necessarily in the same mode .[Pulsed or continuous] My Hum intensity doesn't vary much so that's no help. Though I think 'side by side' tests could be helpful- there's still the factor of thresholds to take into account, where one person may be more sensitive to hum than another .This would seem eminently possible. Only by testing on an extended period could this factor be highlighted by comparing post event data with any time shift between a recognized pattern showing its' hand clearly.
This assumes, also, that there is absolutely no tailoring of the hum source to individuals.[targetting] If that is -Not- the case- then no amount of testing is going to solve it, from the hearers' point of view. As to ear defects, most reporters of Hum seem have remarkedly good hearing. That really stands out -and few report any diagnosed tinnitus of any descriptiion.. Tricky enough to raise suspicions, aint it -amongst the less trusting of us anyway?
