That extention level event (ELE) was due to an asteroid I believe.
(Producing a nuclear type winter)
There's been many other & slower changes, but the one that will get us
in the UK is the switch of the Gulf Stream
due to salinity changes -with Arctic ice melting.
It could happen relatively quickly.
As we are on the same latitude as Moscow- we would get 'as cold' and
much, much wetter conditions from the Atlantic.
Not to be contemplated !
More survivable than a 'Nibiru' type event, but 'norra  lorra'  fun ,
as Cilla  would say!
