I was at a local councill meeting a few years back over ID card
compliance issues.
A female opposition (Labour) member actually said..- Why worry, in 10
years we'll all be chipped!!
Needless to say, it didn't get reported- but it was very clear to me.
Chilling at the time..and still not out of the question , even with a
new 'anti ID' Tory Gov't -for all we know
- though hopefully a lot less likely.
It's already starting on the joumey with animals, lost kids tagging,
prisoner controls etc but though these seem reasonable
- the infrastructure , profitability and public acceptance of the
technology will be pushed forward relentlessly.
The ID system will seam readily into it -
Lets hope terrorism isn't used as an excuse yet again... but 'hope'
may not be enough to stop the juggernaut.
People need to get off their proverbials- and get interested soon.
