This is an interesting example of gravity assisted atmosphere behaviour. The radar pic shows the ripples in velocity of cloud layers.[Red] A similar effects could be possible at higher frequancies! Notice how the descriptipn shows how a re-entrant cycle can be set up between this wave effect - and large weather systems.
