I saw this one nearby, when on a country visit last year. The analysis of the meaning is very interesting. I also saw the earlier one in the next field nearly 20 years ago that is mentioned as the ratchet design. http://www.cropcircleconnector.com/2008/barbury/barbury2008a.html As to tracks- I don't think they matter- some circle elements are only 6 inches wide and would not allow for a body to be there- and not show some depressed foliage at some level. The tracks on this one were actually hardly touched. It was really noticeable actually- that the grass was un-affected where it even crossed the circle rings.Only the crop was bent in the normal fashion of circles.
If this is an 'alien joke' , it's a very complicated one and many people are quite prepared to take what info they can from this work- better than sitting on your butt and carping. What's to lose- other than a self satisfied complacency?
