Yes, Trev we are far from alone, but where they are is where we were about a year ago. Nothing will change until YKW has completed his mission to destroy that forum from within, like this one. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hum Forum text in full from Janyl ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hello To All, as I read Geoff's posts, what stands out to me is, to wonder, just what device or devices have been used to measure the Hum situation (?) that Geoff is experiencing. Are we here at this group, now with the "ultimate solution" to the Hum strictly based upon Geoff's understanding and experiences? Have we come upon "the final solution" to what we ALL are hearing, without any room for any other idea, theory, or hypothesis? Have all the former studies and examinations of Hums been rendered mute (though not the Hum) because Geoff has been the final determiner of the reason for the Hum? It seems that every time an idea, theory, or hypothesis is put forth by a Hum sufferer (or even several who are experiencing essentially the same Hum in the same location), Geoff has come up with a reason or explanation, by his own expertise, for why it is happening, how it is happening, and so forth, and no other options exist except his own, something he makes perfectly clear in reply. I find it simply amazing that he seems to have all the answers to the Hum experience each and every one of us is having. Why, I didn't even know Geoff until recently simply through this group; had a Hum experience before I even joined this group looking for a solution and an answer; it is amazing to me that a person who doesn't even live here, hasn't even been around what my daughter and I are experiencing, isn't concerned for answers that don't fit his definition of the Hum, yet apparently has all the answers to the Hum problem we have here, and can explain why it is happening, why we are hearing it, etc., by remotely sitting in front of a computer screen. I would be very interested in learning about what other experts have determined, upon examining Geoff's Hum experience by expansive scientific investigation. What methods have been used to measure it? What specific tone or frequency does it represent? Have medical personnel also concurred that no matter whom is dealing with a Hum, that it is strictly NOT a Hum, but actually a form of tinnitus as Geoff is expousing? Does this mean that the answer Geoff provides is the final say-so, the ultimate answer, and that there can be no other reason? Does this then mean that the people in Taos, or Kokomo, or any other location, in the past, and in the present, are dealing with the answer as provided by Geoff? Does that mean that those who did studies in Taos and Kokomo were wrong, because Geoff seemingly has the Hum Solution all lined up? In such case, I would hope that Geoff would write an official study, determining that he has solved the issue of the Hum, once and for all, one that would eclipse, deny and erase any prior studies, news reports, etc. of the Hum; providing not only theory or ideas, but cold, hard, and concrete evidence of this very fact. A study which is backed up by definable criteria, that can be measured and proven by scientific method. One that proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Geoff's explanation is THE answer for each and every one of us; that the preponderance of evidence means that no other explanation, theory, idea, etc. can exist independently of Geoff's ideas of individual or collective Hum experiences. Otherwise, if this is not the case, then I would propose that we, as collective Hum sufferers, continue to search for answers not strictly provided by Geoff, and be allowed to put our theories, ideas, and such forth, without recrimation or being politely told we are simply wrong; about our Hum experiences & situations, being able to look at various explanations for the cause, not just to settle for one person's experience alone, as being the Hum Solution. I, for one, feel various answers exist.
