After reading a few articles about the digital switch, I decided not to purchase the converter box, plus it seemed rather odd to me that my physical address was mandatory in order to receive a coupon to purchase the box. (I don't receive mail at my "physical" address, it goes to my post office box) Then I found out that thru a grant, our local transformers on the mountain would be updated to receive the digital signal and then change it back to analog. That seemed like a great idea. The guy came out and started the update but due to rains had to stop (sensitive equipment) That was almost two weeks ago and he hasn't been back. I get sound on one station but no picture and just static on the other. (yes, just two stations, have no need for satellite or cable nor the cost that comes with the service) Will be interesting to see if they finish the update :)
