After a long delay I have finally received a reply from Gillion Merron, Member of Parliament and Minister of State at the Department of Health relating to my concerns about the Hum and its effects on human health.
One of the points I raised was a recent statement by the Head of a Hospital Department Dr Baguley who stated that only people with extremely sensitive hearing can hear the Hum. As many of you personally know this is utter rot, indeed there are Hum sufferers who are completely deaf. Information about the University of Salford and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs funded projects on low frequency sound can be found at, www.acoustics.salford.ac.uk/moorhouse/?content=lfn The Department of Health does not fund these studies but was consulted in an advisory role in drawing up the projects. Dr Baguley is a research partner in these studies, which are ongoing. We are assured that any results from these studies would be subject to peer review process before publication in a respected scientific journal. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Hum Sufferers" group.
