Hi all
I've been hearing the hum for around 8 months at home in Sandy Bay,
Tasmania. When last in Mont Albert, Melbourne 3 months ago I heard it,
and then wondered if it was wireless internet (both homes have
wireless). I've heard it in Lindisfarne (Tasmania, 10km from home, but
other side of river), Taroona (Tasmania 10kms from Sandy Bay), my
workplace in Sandy Bay. All these places have wireless internet. I
haven't been out bush lately to see if I hear it away from
technology.
we were going to put our house on the market to escape the hum, but
now that I hear it everywhere, won't bother. Hubby sometimes hears it,
other times he says it is the fridge (NONONONONO!!!!!).
I have had my hearing tested, and one ear is a bit weak in
conversation level hearing, and one ear has never ever worked, nerve
deafness. Having said that, I am a former musician and have perfect
pitch, and the hum for me is midway between B flat and A (the ones
just below middle C). How does this sit with others?
