A good move [the petition], Lidia. I've been in touch with the health Protection Agency who say they will forward the petition on to the relevant people in that organisation. Email address is: [email protected] Phone: 01235 831600 They know of one signee, Dr G Levenstall and the person I spoke to seemed positive to our aims here. There is certainly quite some interest in the area of EM pollution, but the system for reviewing the area seems to be missing somewhat. I mentioned Tetra, but this is under review by the users [Police]. General broad implementation of safe limits is probably relying on Industry standards and complaint reviews- but as Vic pointed out the breakthrough of BPL on the HV lines is not catered for formally as it isn't supposed to happen- and not hugely used in the UK yet, afaik..
I'm not sure how many signatures you want to proceed with this route - or whether a parliamentary Petition is needed as well. John thinks this additional route useful too. Numbers needed? Not too sure but not impossibly high. [I can't remember whether there's one up and running already?] To be fair , we don't know what actually killed poor Vic as he was under stress and in indeterminate health to us, at least at this distance. I would not be surprised if Hum had a hand in this -directly or otherwise, though. John has said he will pin this item so it will be seen by all here.
