I have recently made some improvements to my Hum energy detector and can
now make measurements of the Hum energy to within two decimal places.

Using my own perception of the Hum level I made measurements at the times
when I perceived the Hum to be high and low.

I found that the perceived Hum did follow the measurements but the energy
level between these two points was only 4 per cent of the total energy and
I was surprised to find that such small changes in the energy level can
produce such large changes in the perceived Hum.

Making measurements at various times of the day and night I found that the
energy level is constantly changing but I could find no distinct pattern as
yet.

The largest deviation I have found so far is 4.6 per cent but if these
deviations are ignored then the overall Hum energy for the day and night is
surprisingly stable.
