I have successfully tried rc2 on the supported OSes, and it compiled fine (with some warnings which we agreed are rather pedantism) with gcc, icc, suncc and xlc. Maybe we should wait for confirmation that pgcc now works? I think we should indeed backport 1250, 1251 and 1255. Samuel
