Correct. For esoteric reasons, the tests/embedded tree is not included in the
tarball (I can explain if you care, but the reasons are pretty boring).

You can actually grab a nightly tarball, if it would help -- they're made every
night around 9pm US Eastern time if there were any commits in SVN since the
last successful nightly tarball creation:
http://www.open-mpi.org/software/hwloc/nightly/trunk/
Oops -- I see that we only have trunk nightly tarballs (oops!). I'll add 1.0
nightly tarballs... done:
http://www.open-mpi.org/software/hwloc/nightly/v1.0/
There's obviously only one v1.0 tarball there right now, but they'll continue
to be created on a nightly basis.
