Try turning the Jump setting (knob 2 in Pattern Playback mode) to OFF.
If this is anything else, then it sends any program changes that are recorded in
that phrase whenever the stop button is pressed. Also, check if there is actual
program change data recorded in the sequence. (use Edit mode to look for
program change events). I think that the bank and program settings in the Voice
submode screen are not stored as midi messages in the recorded phrase, but I'm
not sure exactly when they are sent. Maybe when you recorded the phrase, the
program change messages were recorded as midi data, but when you change the
voice in the voice submode screen it over-rides it (except maybe for when you
press the stop button).  - Larry S.
