Yes,
While in pattern mode go to the disk sub-menu, like you want to save the
pattern. You can use the knob to rotate through the patterns. There will
be a ******** if the pattern itself is empty. That's what Florian meant, I
believe. Although it doesn't work in there for phrases, only patterns.
